I need two tables a) City table b) where we have to import data from excel. I will send you the php file, there you will see browse button , once you select the excel file and submit then my php file will get data from excel sheet and insert into database. If you want to implement this functionality in your existing system, then send me the ftp detail and login credential and guide me where you want this feature. Hello, Reading Excel files is a bit difficult but not impossible. I always recommend avoiding them when possible. My suggestion would be to export the spreadsheet to a CSV file, which is a plaint text file format where each row of your sheet uses one line and each column is separated by a special character, usually comma. Excel has an option in the File menu to export sheet to a CSV file. If you accept my proposal, I can write a PHP script that will load the data from such CSV file into the database.
