Hi there, I'm Matt Sergei (do call me Matt) and can help you with the right solution if you have time to communicate and can wait (I'm a webmaster and IT developer for 25 years). What you need - and none of the other freelancers have even mentioned - is a system with calculated and stored image descriptors. These are for example Dominant Colors in the image and similar. The search system implementation is easy once you HAVE these descriptors. A search process compares the descriptors (of the given image) with all other descriptors (in your system/database) and find best matches, usually the percentage of their values difference (0 - it's the same image). And then outputs image sorted by best match. The best worldwide standard/specification for getting descriptors is MPEG-7. I have implemented a test system using ISO standards code years back (for my graduate work) though using that code for commercial purposes can be a subject of patents. Yet getting image descriptors can be scripted. So this bid is for scripting image descriptors from your database of images, storing them and scripting a search system for best match. Usually several - three - descriptors combined (color, shape, pattern or so) give best matches. I understand getting descriptors of user's image will need to be programmed as well. Search is then in your time limit (up to 5 s) e.g. just comparing say 4.5 value with 10 million of indexed (sorted) image descriptors. Feel free to discuss first. Regards, Matt
