Troubleshoot and fix an RSS-to-Email template in Active Campaign

We have had trouble with the built-in drag and drop builder not outputting correctly. Specifically, Gmail app in mobile shrinks the text and other content down to fit the screen, making it too small for reading.
We have found that reducing the width of the template improves this output in mobile, but the email then looks worse in desktop view. We would like a properly formatted for mobile email that also looks good on desktops and other devices.
You should be familiar with this Gmail app shrinking issue, Active Campaign, and WordPress RSS. Familiarity with <content:encoded> in RSS and how it translates to email is necessary.
We have a simple, single-column design, 2 images (logo, ad), and the latest RSS post. It looks like this: [login to view URL]~6215993
We need someone who sees the same issue we see (will send you a test email) and understands this needs a template AND testing at Active Campaign to be a successful project. Having WordPress coding skills to modify the output of our RSS feed would also be useful.
