Troubleshoot and fix an RSS-to-Email template in Active Campaign

We have had trouble with the built-in drag and drop builder not outputting correctly. Specifically, Gmail app in mobile shrinks the text and other content down to fit the screen, making it too small for reading. We have found that reducing the width of the template improves this output in mobile, but the email then looks worse in desktop view. We would like a properly formatted for mobile email that also looks good on desktops and other devices. You should be familiar with this Gmail app shrinking issue, Active Campaign, and WordPress RSS. Familiarity with <content:encoded> in RSS and how it translates to email is necessary. We have a simple, single-column design, 2 images (logo, ad), and the latest RSS post.
