PSD to PDF conversion with edits

I have a PSD file that I need to convert to a PDF. Here's the catch. I need a script that edit's the file and makes updates automatically. Here's the script command format and options I need. createcertificate --name="Matthew Frazier" --classname="The Life in the Soil Class" --date="January 15th, 2018" --withdistinction="true" --withhonor="true" I need to have the Person's name (Matthew Frazier), Class Name (The Life in the Soil class), Date January 15th 2018 (in two places), and "with distinction" all as parameters to the script and that update the PSD file and then save it. If --withdistinction=="false" then that wouldn't show up on the certificate. The script would need to run on linux. Please provide timeline and technologies you would use to solve this problem.
