Yes to Life is a charity set up with the central aim to raise public awareness of viable alternative cancer treatments and to assist in making them more generally available. This is vital work to change the bleak landscape in which the contribution of chemotherapy to 5 - year survival has recently been rated at 2%. As part of this effort we have designed a 3-part integrated web service that aims to inform patients about treatments, practitioners, suppliers etc and to supply case histories and opportunities to discuss treatments with other patients and practitioners. This is a first on the web as far as we are aware. The first part of this system - LIFE>RESOURCES is a searchable directory. We have been developing this with a programmer in South Africa at very charitable rates, and this phase is almost complete. However, his ability to deliver to a schedule was non-existant, and as a result we are 6 months behind schedule. We now require a programmer to pick up the project and finish this section - some of the search paths are incomplete or incorrect. We don't really have any budget left for this so we need it as cheaply as possible! Later in the year we will be looking to raise funds to press ahead with the second section of the system followed by the third next year, so obviously we'd like someone who is interested to see it right through. Files available include the To Do list from the project. All items have been completed (but not verified by us) except for items 27, 28, 37, 38 and 39. The item descriptions refer to mockups that are also available.
