Get Post via Rest API WordPress

I have read details. I understand that you have an API which needs to be read using a cron job or a plugin and ll retrieve posts. The posts which are received from this API, need to be processed and a post in wordpress database needs to be created in required tables. I have worked in plugins as well as wordpress customizations.
