Choose wiki engine and make a test project to on this wiki engine

SHORT DESCRIPTION:

We need to choose a wiki engine to use as a base for math problem database website. Our website should support:

* LaTex formatting in math problem description

* Dynamic filtering of math problems on the main page by category/age/difficulty

You need to choose between WikiMedia or DokuWiki, provide arguments for your choice and make a test project to show that this wiki engines provides needed for features.

FULL DESCRIPTION:

WeSolveProblems is a non-commercial organization working to improve math education in the UK.

We have a website about what we do:

We need to add a new section to the website with big editable database of different math problems. This part of the website (problem database) will be hosted on a separate hosting and will have its own domain or subdomain.

Here are few examples of math problems:

We do not want to create CMS for math problems from scratch, but use of the existing wiki engines as a base. It should be based on one of the following existing wiki-engine:

* WikiMedia

* DokuWiki

In this project we do not need to create the website but to create a proof-of-concept. A small test project that shows that this wiki engine with tweaking and coding can support LaTex and dynamic page generation (a page that shows list of all problems filtered based on several parameters).

RESULT OF THE PROJECT:

1. Choosing which Wiki engine to use DokuWiki or WikiMedia

2. Provide a small document with your reasons why this wiki engine is more appropriate of this project

3. Choosing hosting provider to host the project, provide your arguments why this hosting provider is better for this project (we are ready to pay for hosting)

4. Creating a test project that shows problem webpage that includes LaTex text and a webpage with any dynamic filtering of problems based on whatever (just to show that dynamin programmable filtering works) hosted on the chosen hosting
