Looking to create a simple PHP website. It needs to be dynamic size for web or mobile. The PHP code needs to have a secure login form which authenticates to a list of users in a mySQL database. Then the PHP code needs to ping a server on my local network to see if it is turned on. If it is turned on, show a green powered on icon. The website should then show the user a power button to "Watch something on Media Warehouse". If the user pushes the button and the the media server is off, then the python code runs a script to wake the server by magic packet. [login to view URL] When the user pushes the button to watch something, it will keep the media server from turning off by setting a mySQL value in the same row as their username 'server-on' to 1. The python program should then change to show a button that says "Finished watching", that sets the mySQL valve to 0, so that if all users are finished watching, the server turns off. Note: I am coding the turn off script myself, it runs every 5 minutes and checks the sql database for 1 values, if the values are all 0, it turns the server off. Hello, I'm Giuseppe, a developer from Italy. I have a Raspberry Pi and coded something similar to your request for my brother-in-law's media server. I can create the interface you need, I would like to know if you need also a panel to create/edit/delete users. Apart from that, you can consider also the use of SQLite instead of MySQL, as it requires a lot fewer resources. The use of the Caddy Server instead of Apache or NGINX, for the same reason of the database. And I would like to know which PHP version I can code for. In reference to: "Then the PHP code needs to ping a server on my local network to see if it is turned on.
