I want to incorporate quizzes on subjects the users who intend to critique movies as well as self-rate movies, claim to be knowledgeable about. 50% or above in the quiz result rewards that user with a star in that genre, director, writer or topic on their profile - this allows them to critique publicly on and affect the community rating of that film. I will need a series of quizzes, a database of films, graphics for genres, topics, writers and directors, a database of writers and directors. and the UI for the website. community ratings system and personal ratings system - an algorithm for each to decide whether a film fits the topic, genre, writer or director that user is interested in and has a high community rating + a high personal rating of similar films. I will also need an input system, which will be blocked if the user does not have that star. and a user profile system. This is msotly a database, algorithm, design and UI gig. The preparation for this website will take longer than the actual build as it will be visually simple. I need it to be completed as much as possible in 30hrs. My total budget is NZ$300.
