I have a website based on a Joomla CMS platform with Community Builder implemented. The site contains a forum based on the Fireboard plugin.
As the current website – i.e. the technical platform as well as the design is outdated, it is time to rebuild of the site, including a conversion to Wordpress with an independent forum (however some integration (user login) is required), as the site is more a blog than a site where a WordPress CMS migration is required.
Tasks:
a) Convert the current forum to a new stand-alone forum based on vBuletin. The reason for the choice of vBulletin is 1) the vBulletin is considered state-of-the-art within Internet forum modules, 2) there is a vBulletin script available for conversion from Fireboard to vBulletin.
b) Convert content in Joomla to pages and posts in WordPress (includes setting up empty WordPress. However this is a technical assignment and the design of the WordPress site is not included.)
c) Instruction for settting up the solution on a new cPanel instance must be provided and will be tested before assignment is finally accepted.
d) All plugins for vbulletin/WordPress, software solutions, scripts etc. must be made available and documented.
Requirements:
The conversion must include a full transfer of the forum, meaning:
- user profiles must be fully transferred to the new forum (and WordPress depending on integration)
- all posts with the assigned author is transferred to the new forum
- all attachments and images must be visible in all posts
- special formats like quotations, bold, colour etc. must be visible
Site is not English and localization therefore is an important requirement
Other information:
An empty cpanel space will be delivered as development environment. Files for setting up existing site for dev/test purposes/migrating data etc. from Joomla and Fireboard will be provided. vBulletin files will also be provided.
