Assistance with Joomla Website for Art Gallery and Workshops

Assistance is required with setting up a Joomla 3 website for an Art Gallery and Workshops. Main features of the site will include... Gallery: artists biography, artist galleries, exhibitions, events and artwork sales either from the Art Gallery or online plus photo gallery for past events. Workshops: workshop description and calendar information, bookings and sales of workshops seats/places and workshop photo gallery for past events. Blog and Social Networking links and community building tools. Services and Contact Info. There will be future ongoing co-operative work to further build the website for a successful business and community. Links to websites or portfolio of previous work by the bidder would assist in a successful selection. First issue for the successful bidder to fix is to setup the Main top menu to display as a horizontal bar in both landscape and portrait format on all but smartphone devices. Currently the default menu changes to vertical mode in portrait format on an iPad. We want it to stay horizontal. Further tasks to follow this would be to assist building the structure and selection and setup of appropriate modules and plugins for the site. A number of extensions have been tried however suggestions or proposals for custom extensions would be considered. Brief outline of website structure General • Main top menu to display as horizontal bar in both landscape and portrait format on all but smartphone devices as described above. • Slider/Dynamic Banner displaying different images from featured Gallery, Artists or Workshop. Gallery • Display all works by Artist, Gallery(Album) or Category – Public Access • Works may be tagged to sell online (to Registered Users), in the gallery or both. Artists (similar to JArtist) • Artist must register to submit/sell work and agree to terms etc (contract) • Artist complete a biography to submit with artwork. • Artist upload work to each gallery or album (from front end) unpublished to be reviewed by Administrator before being published for public view. • Artist events such as exhibitions and opening shows can be displayed as a featured article, calendar, mini calendar or promotional sidebar advertisement. • Artist page displays galleries, bio and events. Workshops (similar to vikEvents) • Workshop events displayed by All, Category or Month in a list, calendar, mini calendar or promotional sidebar advertisement for featured workshops or events. • Registered users, agree to terms etc before booking available place in workshop • Online payment and ticket print or email to user. • Reminders of upcoming workshops and new events.
