27575 Lightning RTF - Extra Features

Hi Richard, I think Lightning RTF is a great name for this. Just a few suggestions for improvements: 1.) Can he convert pdf to rtf? It's a long shot but please ask him. 2.) Also bak, php and asp to rtf if possible. Please at least ask. Tell him any text based file. This way we can open bizarre files down the road and decipher them in english (other than binary). Tell him to get a complete listing of text based files and allow them to be converted to rtf. 3.) On the Browse For Folder screen please create an icon where they click it and they can create a new folder if they want to. There should be a library available to create that. 4.) In the about section have him put this statement: This Program Comes With Master Resell Rights and May be Sold or Given Away Without Consideration of Royalties. In the Help Menu Add a "Directions" Button Put this: How to Use This Software: The Fast Version. 1.) Select Folder you want to save your RTF files in. 2.) Click the Add Files Button and add your files. 3.) Click The Convert Button. 4.) Check the Directory You saved your RTF files in. Purpose: The Purpose of Lightning RTF is to convert .doc, .wri, .htm and .html files to .rtf files. This program was ran through the hoops real hard, until it did everything we intended it to. Tips: After you click the Add Files button: To Select a batch of files, select the first file in the batch with your mouse. Hit the Shift button then select the last file in the batch with your mouse. This will select every file in the directory. Then click open. Then they should be in the drop-down box. 6.) When I tried to compile I got a run time error 4198, Command Failed. 7.) This program will allow selection of any file multiple times within the same job. This may be a flaw and may be why I got the command failed error. It could have also been from trying to compile in the same directory. 8.) Lets get a Desktop Icon Option there so we don't have to install it each time we wanna run it. 9.) When the conversion is successful, please display a small message saying: File Conversion from xxx to xxx Was Successful! Congratulations! (center both lines of text above) Right now there's no other notice than the end of the light blue meter. 10.) Richard I'm not kidding. Files from html to rtf all resulted in .hrtf NOT .rtf after the conversions. I'm sure it's a small error when he wrote the program. Note: It appears that files converted into the same folder give the error message above OR duplicate files (selecting the same file twice for the same task).
