Need help transferring an older version of an Ipad app to another Ipad

I currently have an older version of an app on my iPad that I much prefer over the newer version of the app. I have it on one Ipad and I would like to transfer it to another Ipad. Apple has made this nearly impossible apparently and I cannot figure it out. If you know how to do this, please send me a message and I will set up the project.
