Project summary: setting up tablets at the points of payment (in supermarkets among other facilities) with the final objective of playing personalized ads in various formats, such as mp4, jpg, png, etc. Currently the project is developed manually, as described below: The videos, images, pictures (among other things) are placed manually. They are stored in a folder and pasted one by one into every single equipment. The main inconvenience of this manual process is that we have to rely on someone to go to the different stores where the tablets have been installed to turn them on, run the folder, update the program and turn off the equipment on a daily basis. The other challenge that we are facing regularly is the poor availability of energy services as there is usually no electric service in the commercial centers. A person must be sent there to turn on the equipment and again to go through all the pasting process for each tablet. In regards of all these inconveniences, we are looking for an automatic process in order to minimize the margins of error and the waste of time and money. Our main requirement is that all these processes can be managed from one center of operations. We would like to be able to use a computer and/or Internet in order to run automatically the following operations: - Launch - Switch off - Update - Organize - Withdraw/Enter information All of this according to a schedule that we will be able to define from an operations center.
