***DATABASE THAT HAS ISSUE IS MARIADB*** Earlier ALL the websites on my server went down. They all had the "Error establishing a database connection" message. The Host Gator tech told me "the mysql process is reported as dead. I have restarted" After the restart everything came back up and the Tech investigated WHY it happened. He replied "looks like the server ran out of ram due to the mysql processes at 5:21/5:22 server time. Looks like a memory leak due to a long running yet sleeping process." He identified where the main isue was: | 83418 | newuser | localhost:52460 | helo_wp658 | Sleep | 10762 | | None | 0.0 | and said "The line after sleep is how long it was running" The HostGator Tech asked me to sure the following: *Here is the full process dump before the memory kill [login to view URL] - first that's the process list notice the memory jump at 5:22 - 5:23 *Here's the process state at 5:19 when memory is at its lowest: [login to view URL] This is all the info I can provide.

Dear Sir ! The long sleep time in db occours when you use php application . This causes PHP to connect to the database, execute queries, remove the authentication for the connection, and then leave the connection open. Please set the following line to /etc/my.cnf. wait_timeout = 180 interactive_timeout = 180 thats all. mysql will drop connection after 3 minutes. i can set this for you,on teamviewer access. regards g
