Hey cool. I am completing my Unix System Administration certificate now. I have alot of experience with Bash/Awk Scripting and regular Expressions. I know some Perl and just so happen to be reading the Llama Book now. I also know Apache, wsgi, some Python, HTML5, and extensive JavaScript. I have set up and run many Unix servers and do not make careless mistakes on them. There is many other Unix/Programming tasks I can do as well and would love to talk more with you!
I'm a system administrator and programming engineer. I already have some available and efficient log parsing script with mail notifications. I may provide you with a suitable modified version and a quick do-it-yourself guide for the next time.
Would you be able to provide an access to your sys, so I can develop and test? I can write it in perl/korn/bourne/awk. You do not have to use grep, since you want to process data record by record.
