Galaga Remix

The project is as follows ------------------------------------------------------ This project has multiple phases! Each phase builds upon the last but should be programmed as different 'modes' of the game in the same code base. Each phase will be delivered to ensure everything is on the right track. PHASE 1 ======= 1. A javascript version of Galaga will be identical to the original game mechanics 2. HTML canvas and vector graphics should be resizable to any window size while maintaining aspect ratio 3. All major game objects should be swappable SVG sprites that can be animated 4. This mode should be the same every time for players, make sure everything other than user input is fully deterministic 5. Fully separate out the game front end from the game logic for next steps 6. Save the user's game input so that after the game you can press a button to replay your game on the screen PHASE 2 ======== 1. Create a 'mode' for random bug behavior so that each game instance is different 2. All random behavior should be produced by using a random seed given to the game at startup, this seed can change each time. 3. The random values should be processed in a way that is entirely deterministic so we can replay the game with the same random seed and the outcome should be the same 4. The game logic functions should be separate enough for me to validate a game on another machine by using the random seed and user input as the input to that validation function. Ideally there would be a "ValidateGame(InitialSeed, UserInput, ExpectedResult)" function that I can call, which should be similar to the replay function. Steps 4 & 5 are left for a follow on project and include client-server interaction and multiplayer support contact for more information. My contract: ---------------------------------------------- 1.
