If the image dataset you have is labelled (I.e: you know exactly which stage is shown in each image), then this is a straightforward machine learning problem. I would build a neural network classifier using open source tools (Python and Keras) and provide everything on a web based platform. This means you can run all the code at home too, without any setup. Stage 1: Code for reading the images and labels into the algorithm Stage 2: Developing and training the algorithm to classify stage Stage 3: Provide the code, documentation and instructions for running on the web platform.
