Java Fuzzy String Matching Project

We are looking for someone to build us a string matching algorithm. The module must take a string as input and attempt to match it against a predefined set of results strings. The result strings could be encoded with one or many parameters which represent data type (and/or format) of the input: Ex: “Approximately <p1 type="size"/> Hose” We expect the module to be able to: • Extract and match the parameter types from the input (number, date, etc.) • Find the best approximate match from the accepted result string set. • Take into consideration alternate spelling, typos, upper/lower case. • Have the ability to load an abbreviation and synonym dictionary to improve result reliability. Upon accepting your bid, we will provide the following: • The data set of accepted string result, encoded with parameters. • Brief explanation of each parameter types that can be encountered and how they can be expected to be in the input. • Some input example and expected result for testing.
