I am looking for a professional and experienced Ruby on Rails developer who can update my existing Ruby on Rails site v4.2.9 site to the current Rails v5.x.
The job:
- Update an existing site from Rails v4.2.9 to v5.x
- Change the existing code
- Substitute existing gems
- Update existing unit tests
- Do configuration work as needed
- Cleanup old and outdated gems etc. on the way
I'm looking for someone:
- Who has strong Ruby on Rails, JavaScript and CSS skills
- Who has solid communication skills
- Who has a work style that is detail oriented
As a side note:
- Our audience is macX and iOS based, hence testing for these platforms is crucial
- I like to run this project via git and Github in an agile fashion. So you need to know git and have a Github account.
- This is a remote position that can be done from anywhere.
