By default ASPDNSF v10.x has entities/sub-entities on the front end menu: "Browse Categories" and "Browse Brands". All customers [registered or not] can see all the entities/sub-entities.
A. Regular. This customer uses the default configuration of ASPDNSF v10.x
B. Selected. This customer will have a customized menu designed around their needs controlled by the Customer Level and the entities/sub-entities selected for its use.
We need to develop an add-on or XML Package to limit the entities/sub-entities that selected customers can see and interact with.
Based on our initial conversations, the add-on would work based on customer levels. It would have an interface in a new page or in the Customer Level page where all customer levels will be listed and for each customer level selected the admin user would be able to select one or multiple options within each of the available entities in ASPDNSF.
Please let us know how to turn on and off the various entities in the horizontal menu on ASPDNSF v10.x. We understand there are all entities available.
We must block the access to direct links/pages for items and entities, in case some customer figures out the "hidden" URL.
Updates of the menu entities/sub-entities must be reflected in the add-on interface. Ex. if a new category or sub category is added the add-on interface must update to include that category and/or subcategory. This could be a manual update via a “Refresh” button. The add-on will not filter the products or the entities menus in the admin area. The selected customers won't be able to see the entities/sub-entities of other special customers.
The final program/add-on must not be limited by license, number of installations or servers where it is installed. It must also not be tied or related to any ASPDNSF license. No changes to ASPDNSF’s source code will be required to develop this add-on. We'll have exclusive rights and ownership of resulting program and or add-on, to install and distribute the final program, add-on, including executable and source code.
