We need a standard portrait sized vector infographic. It will illustrate the attached case study for making an office building more efficient by reducing excess energy costs. Adding capacitor banks to a building store energy short-term, and reduce utility charges for the infrastructure to redistribute energy that was not used by the building.
The infographic will be used on our blog and marketing materials for our energy & sustainability program.
Format: Illustrator vector file (.ai, .eps)
All graphics should be flat illustration style – no photos in the infographic. The color palette can be the same as the Window Films infographic (https://www.freelancer.com/projects/Graphic-Design/Infographic-Energy-Sustainability-Case.html), which had a lot of greys, our branded yellow, orange, a little blue. Our header and footer should be included. The BEST logo should also go at the top of the infographic, and the Boxer Property logo at the bottom.
There should be three parts to the infographic:
1. What is Power Factor?
Make an illustration that shows a power plant connected to an office building, and some electrical infrastructure (like power lines) that would distribute unused energy to other buildings.
Include the chart on the attached BEST Power Factor Value pdf that shows how Power Factor is calculated.
Include this text:
Power Factor (PF) = the measure of energy efficiency
This measurement indicates how much actual electrical energy was used compared to how much was purchased. This number should be as close to 1 as possible. If a building purchases more energy than it uses, the utility company may charge for the infrastructure needed to distribute that energy.
2. Capacitor Banks
Illustrate a capacitor bank and how capacitors work. Capacitor banks vary greatly - I've included some images of what the boxes look like. The capacitors on the inside are made up of plates and dialectics, which can vary in material and shape. We could show an illustration of the "typical electrolytic capacitor" that I’ve uploaded to the case.
It would be good to also add a graph demonstrating the charging of a capacitor, like the simple resistor-capacitor circuit on this page: [login to view URL] (I uploaded this photo to the case)
Include this text:
Capacitor banks - Store electricity, and help increase Power Factor
These can easily be sized, purchased and installed by electricians.
3. Power Factor Case Study
Create a flat graphic illustration of each of our 4 buildings, and include them in a graph that shows the old PF, new PF, savings, project cost, and payback months (similar to the Hurt Building in the last case study, only each building doesn’t need to take up as much space). The power factor graph is in the attached post that will accompany the infographic. I've also attached images of all of the buildings.
