Diamond Harbour was frequented by the Portuguese pirates. Thus, the site features some ruins associated with the pirates, the most notable being the remnants of the Chingrikhali Fort, built in the 16th century. According to the locals, the fort was inhabited by the Portuguese pirates.
PROJECT DETAILS:
The project focus on to create an awareness about river Ganga Dolphin and it’s Conservation.
The aim of the project is to create an interactive space for tourist through the Design.
Increase tourism by providing hospitality and recreational environment for both domestic and foreign tourists.
Make analytical study of the functional requirements of the neighborhood and implement efficient planning to cater to the demands. Respond to climate and energy consumption issues through effective planning, Eco-sensitive design and construction techniques. Create economic opportunities for neighborhood local
communities.
The proposed resort will function as a luxurious resort which provides all the facilities within its boundary so as to make the stay pleasing and exotic. The resort will attempt to provide recreational, banquet, conference space to meet international standard.
The design will be focused more on the horizontal spreading than the vertical rise. Separating the functional/ public area from the relaxation area. Landscaping is one of the most important factor in this design.
The proposed resort would take care of the tourists. The resort would be planned for recreation and entertainment activities for all age groups.
