I need you to write a short detective story that is 10,000 words that is in the thriller genre. You will be given guidance and direction so you don't have to think about what the plot is about. I will provide up to 3 weeks for you to complete this task. To be considered for this project you will need to answer the screening question in this description. It lets me know more about you, and your story telling ability as well as if you are a reader. Please be sure to answer that to be considered for this project. Also know that the question is not related to the thriller short story. It just allows me to see your attention to detail, what intrigues you and your thought process. Hi I would choose my detective to be in any of these states since I am not from the US. But even if I was from the states, my answer would be the same. A detective story always requires research on the police departments and statutes of that particular region along with other research, so it wouldn't really matter to me which state I chose my detective to be in. Though I do not know the plot of the story, I think it would be interesting to set a detective story in Colorado. The state provides an ample variance in setting. A story could move easily through the state, from city to wilderness. Denver is a culturally rich city and would be useful in developing character and plot. Colorado - and Denver specifically - would also be helpful in building complex characters from various situations, which could help to diversify the plot and prompt fresh narration. Both the city and the expansive wilderness would be conducive to a fast-paced and interesting action/chase scene. Finally, my personal experience in Colorado would allow me to write a more realistic description of the setting and the characters within it. I look forward to working with you!

For the location of the story I'd probably pick Califonia State. Possibly set the story around Los Angeles. From the little I know it can create a beautiful, affluent, sexy setting, where you would Relevant Skills and Experience Never expect such crimes would be committed

As for the backdrop for a detective story, I would choose New York state, regardless of how little I know of the geography of the U.S. I grew up reading Marvel Comic books and all of my favorite superheroes seemed to be central to New York and the surrounding area. With a state teeming with people, there's bound to be more than just a few mysteries sprinkled throughout for a detective to keep busy with.

Something happened there, something happens all the time before the eyes of the naive inhabitants of the area, who are too immersed in their own stories to realize that something bigger than their lives is going on. Given the five choices presented, I would unequivocally set the story in New York State. New York is a densely populated area that has the seedy and shadowy areas of an inner-city, but also has a mountainous and open terrain in the northeastern part of the state. There is an almost inexhaustible number of thematic elements that can be seen in the inner cities of the five boroughs of New York. Dark alleys, organized crime, corrupt law enforcement officials, and a plethora of hiding places. Also, New York City is the city that never sleeps. The tension there can be palpable, and the erratic pulse of the city would contribute to the climactic elements of the yarn. Such an answer may seem banal and overplayed, but it is good reason. However, if New Orleans was also listed, I would have a difficult time choosing. By the way, I am an internationally published author who has written hundreds of creative works for businesses and individuals, including a 360-page novel. All of my work is original. My English is exquisite, and my grammar is flawless.

Hi , I think New York State would be the best place for a story like that to take place. New York has a mysterious and kind of calculist and cold demeanour that would give this type of story because it seems like a place where nobody knows nothing about anybody ,for example ,someone's neighbor could be living a double life as a criminal and no one would notice because almost everybody is closed there to a certain degree.
