Hi there, I read your project and it is interesting. In fact, I have built many apps to extract historical data from multiple sources, from Brokers API to Websites. I am an IT Engineer and I work exclusively with Financial Market projects. In your specific case, it is very simple, all you need is to determine the source of the data. Certainly, you can extract it to Excel, which I would not recommend very much unless you plan to download/extract finite number of data (50 symbols, 3 months of data), other than that, you will just collapse your WorkSheet and make it inoperable. A better option is -no doubt- a database, where you ca store thousands of records and later process the data in any way you want with the help of a separate application. In Excel, you will just limit your capabilities. Regarding the Indicators, these can be calculated on the fly, there is no need for the data source to contain this information. Regarding the EPS, DPS, clash flow, these do need to be present in the data source as these are fundamental information of the company. Well, I think that is all by now. If you have any question just let me know and remember to avoid MS-Office for a task like this one, it will only bring you more trouble in the long run, for the same price you can afford a custom solution which will fit better and provide better results.
