i have been working in Business process outsourcing for how many years now. Working in this industry teaches me a lot of things. It improves my communication skills and helps me how to adjust to changes. Furthermore, it also keeps me to constantly strive hard and do my best all the time. I become more competitive that allows me to push my limitations.
My first job was as a market researcher - doing phone surveys. We mainly focused on gathering data from our respondents asking questions about customer satisfaction, political study, etc. With this, i learned how to value quality over quantity since our common objective is to give true information to our clients.
I was also assigned in some customer service tasks such as chat support, billing and basic troubleshooting. These tasks were pretty challenging, but i really enjoy talking to our customers over the phone. Self-control is one the soft skills i learned with this job. You must strive to remain calm and cool, even when your customer is not. Being quick and knows how to empathize helps me to be attached with this work.
