Hi, I'm a hardware engineer with 14 years experience at circuitry design and PCB layout. I read through your post and definitely it's a project I could handle well. I'm in GTA as well, so it will be easy for us to communicate during design and my following support. My daily work is to design circuitry, create schematic and drawing PCB. I've designed a similar product before. For a touchpad we need to design a touch controller (such as Microchip MTCH6102 or any chip you suggest) into the board and design the touch grid in sensor area. Most touch controllers communicate with MCU/processor (not on this board) through I2C bus. And we need to define the board size, choose the right connector which could mating to the other side this board connected to. Please message me if you want to discuss more.
