Hello Irving! I live in Argentina and have more than 30 years of experience as oracle DBA and pl/sql developer on unix/linux platforms. I had to deal with crontab and oracle since forever!!. I would suggest also to implement your requirements using the Oracle scheduler instead of unix cron. We can output the query results using UTL_FILE from within oracle stored procedures so you can generate output file in operating system folders. I believe it is more secure to do so instead of OS crontab, because using crontab, you will need scripts to connect to oracle and your passwords will be in plain text. Oracle Scheduler is more secure. It is mi opinion. If you don't care about security, we can implement OS crontab instead if you like. Thank you, best luck!

A cronjob is just used for scheduling a script/Job. Looks like your requirement is to create a script that performs the oracle DB query and uploads the result to the site and then schedule the script to complete this at regular intervals. I will write you a Perl script which will do just that. I will need your system info (OS, available modules, db version) and output format of the file. I have scripts that have been running without any problems for more than 20 years. I occasionally receive status reports from them which even surprises me.
