Instructions
Make calls to companies and consumers and ask questions. We expect that you will gain an understanding of each company’s products/services before calling. Please do not go through entire industries in chunks -- spread out which types of companies you are calling so that you can apply learnings to later calls.
Try to get ahold of someone working on the audio development team -- if this doesn’t exist, find a product manager or someone similar. Be creative in getting to the right contact. This may be simple -- e.g. finding a phone number on their website -- or may take some work -- e.g. calling the HQ front desk and describing who you want to be connected with.
Do not give our company’s name or describe our product. You can give general information if questioned, as provided in the script below.
Please use this introduction script to start, but feel free to adapt to fit your conversation style or trends you hear in conversations.
Please try to get the questions below answered, but if your interviewee wants to go on tangents / have a dialogue, feel free to engage. This can result in valuable insights we otherwise may not have gained.
Spreadsheet and document with questions and script to follow will be provided upon hire.
Deliverables
- 25 successful calls required.
- Successful call means connecting with someone that is able to answer 6 out of the 10 questions. Call should last 10-15 minutes.
- Answers to questions in spreadsheet outlining company demographics and answers to questions.
