Hi there, This is Bogdan from Romania. I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer, industrial designer and, 3D modeler. For some of my projects, I'm also doing the physical prototype too. I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years of experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - I'm suggesting use as much as possible existing aluminum profiles and the associated connectors for the main frame and supports 2 - in order to have the top case thinner, will be advisable to get the pic board placed parallel with the MB - using extension rinsers... 3 - the power source if not have already, is better to be blade server type - much thinner :) 4 - it is possible to have the legs in different design styles (you should give suggestions) but is necessary to be hollow so the cables to go through 5 - it is advisable to have at least a few power sockets nearby - will have a lot of apparatus 6 - you may incorporate a wireless charger into the top glass anyway, if will be to proceed further, will need a full list of the components in order to make the layout For any more questions, we could chat here, including the whole details of the project, final price, time frame, deliverables, etc, etc... I propose first to discuss with you who your chosen fabricator is and what their capabilities are, then the mechanical funtionality: eg mounting details for the components, hinged lid, possible electric lift function (I recon that'd be cool).
