Please find the job description below, The Embedded Software engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining customized audio amplifier software for specific vehicles. The programs will involve a variety of technologies, including high-speed fiber optic networking protocols, CAN and Ethernet communications, Real-time Operating Systems and built-in diagnostics. The software is targeted for 32-bit microcontrollers and SOC systems BS/MS Computer Engineering or BS/MS Electrical Engineering with Software focus 5-10 years of experience developing real-time embedded software Demonstrated experience in board-bring-up, boot loaders and device drivers development Solid Programming experience using C/C++ Experience with one or more of the following peripheral protocols: I2C, UART, RS232, SPI Experience using embedded troubleshooting tools such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Emulators and hardware based debuggers Ability to understand PCB and Schematics to bring up new hardware Strong software development skills and knowledge/experience in software engineering best practices (i.e. OOD, modularity, extensibility, reusability and maintainability) Ability to work effectively with other team members including embedded application development, system and quality engineers Experience with various software engineering tools – Subversion, JIRA, Crucible, Quick Learner, excellent verbal and written technical communication skills Primary Skills: BS/MS Computer Engineering or BS/MS Electrical Engineering with Software focus 5-10 years of experience developing real-time embedded software Demonstrated experience in board-bring-up, boot loaders and device drivers development Solid Programming experience using C/C++ Strong expertize in Linux Drivers, Kernel, and Serial and Block drivers. Experience with one or more of the following peripheral protocols: I2C, UART, RS232, SPI Experience using embedded troubleshooting tools such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Emulators and hardware based debuggers Ability to understand PCB and Schematics to bring up new hardware Strong software development skills and knowledge/experience in software engineering best practices (i.e. OOD, modularity, extensibility, reusability and maintainability) Ability to work effectively with other team members including embedded application development, system and quality engineers Experience with various software engineering tools – Subversion, JIRA, Crucible, Quick Learner, excellent verbal and written technical communication skills Secondary Skills: Knowledge/experience in Autosar MCAL is a plus Knowledge of Automotive Networking Protocols – CAN, MOST is a plus Familiarity with Scripting languages – Python If you feel comfortable with the JD and ok to do, please feel free to reach me, will talk further.
