Job Summary:
This Project Lead will own key phases of the Interior Design Project lifecycle and contribute to the success of Simour Design by supporting our design team. The Project Lead will have a passion for design, project management, and customer service and will support a team focused on strategy and execution.
We are looking for a full-time Interior Design project lead. This is a fully remote role. Must be within the Pacific and Eastern time zones.
Job Duties:
Project Management
- Provide a luxury customer service experience to our Simour Design clientele
- Ensure project schedules and timelines are met by coordinating with the Client, Design Team, Contractors, and Industry Partners
- Conduct client meetings and presentations
- Coordinate design phases of interior design projects (Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Drawings, Design Management)
- Collaborate with the design team for projects design direction and requirements (Review and collaborate on conceptual design, design team material and FF&E selection, and construction drawings)
- Conduct site installations and work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
- Review project budget estimates and cost opinions
- Coordinate with the design team for budget & cost opinion development
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for bid invitations and estimates
- Assist with urgent architectural concerns during the design management phase
- Coordinate with third-party partners for referrals, submittals, requests, etc.
- Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships
Project Communication
- Represent the Simour Design lifestyle brand through communication, personal appearance, and professionalism
- Conduct weekly meetings and updates for clients
- Communicate and work with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization
- Serve as primary client liaison from start until project completion
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field from an accredited school required
3 years of interior design experience, including healthcare projects preferred (medical centers, medical office buildings, hospitals, outpatient clinics, surgery centers, community health centers, etc.)
- Proficient in reading Interior Architectural Construction Drawings
- Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, 3D, and other modeling software programs preferred
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign a must) preferred
- Innovative design talent with work samples or portfolio to illustrate abilities and approach
- Proven success in leading concurrent projects required
- Experience within a commercial or medical design firm is preferred
- Strong knowledge of commercial-grade furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications required
- NCIDQ certified, and/or LEED accreditation is preferred
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment required
- Self-starters who are results-oriented, resourceful, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious, and who take initiative and risks required
- Proficiency with Mac Operating System, IOS devices, Microsoft Office, Google - Applications, Video conferencing, Slack, Click up
