Matthew,
First off, congratulations on managing to get yourself on a healthy track and staying on it! That is a huge accomplishment and much to be admired. Good on you and good for you for wanting help others.
As for me, I am a neighbor to your south (in the USA). While I have not struggled with addiction issues of my own, I grew up in an alcoholic home and have family members who have dealt with (and some who are still dealing with) their own issues of addiction, so it is not a foreign concept. Additionally, I personally, struggle with depression, and so would likely relate to any part of your story dealing with that. Beyond these points that may help me to relate to your story/journey and better help you convey them to others, I have an advanced degree in communications and thus have some understanding of story-crafting that you may find helpful.
Some questions I have for you:
-What is your ultimate goal? What are you trying to achieve?
-What specifically are you looking for help with? (Do you want to write a book? Do you want to give a series of speeches? Are you just looking for someone to tell your stories to who will help you decide how to better craft them for a book, single speech, life-coaching?)
-How do you plan to convey your stories to the person your hire? (in writing? Voice-recording?)
I have set a high price and a 3-week deadline because I do not yet clearly understand your objective and it seems the project may take awhile. Let me know.
Thank you!
