Looking for an editor for a 100,000-word novel. The work is a satirical narrative on the problems of humanity. It uses a soft Sci-Fi format to tell the story. The humor includes just about anything from silly and outrageous to dark and metaphorical.

*Knowledge and experience with humor/satire- High The work is a humor book. So, having high skill and/or experience here is necessary. The writing eventually dives into some pretty deep issues. But it goes deeper than I ever originally intended. So, about every 2 chapters, the humor gets more complex and changes styles. It just turned out that way. I like this aspect, but it could be a flaw if the reader does not want or expect the transition... Helping to judge this would be important. *Creativity- High to medium The novel is a narrative and it is unconventional . You don’t need to be able to write creative content, but knowing when creativity/humor is too far over the top is important. *Sci Fi Knowledge and experience- Medium to low. This is a Sci Fi book but not in a strict sense. Soft Sci Fi is the vehicle used to make points easier. I myself like Sci Fi but I am not a fanatic. However, some Sci Fi experience or proof that you know something about it is necessary. *Research necessary- Low All research is as complete as necessary, but it could crop up I guess. *Grammar/Spelling- Low The book uses misspellings on purpose and spoofs names, famous events, etc. Grammar could be another contract for later after the premise of the book is better understood. *Ghostwriting needed- None The book is already a monster at 100K words. If anything, it needs consolidation. Or I may split it into 2 books. *What else might be helpful- Low to medium Knowledge of psychology/sociology and history.
