I am a Business Analyst with over 12 years of experience in the fields of industry analysis, market research, strategy development, client management, business development, requirements management, report writing and other organizational aspects of business.
My skills belong to the examination of facts and making conclusion from data upon which my clients base their decision making processes. I received a Master's degree in Business & Economics and a postgraduate International Master in Business Informatics.
Recent relevant project which I have successfully completed is related to Strategy formulation and Business Model development for a Danish Animation Production Company. Further I was also involved in the development of a strategic plan for the integration of Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS) of budget users with the FMIS of the State Treasury.
Usually for the development of a strategic plan I use the approach below as a starting point:
1) Initiation - Mobilization
2) Research and analysis
3) Strategy design
4) Strategy implementation
5) Track and manage execution, and re-design strategic plan if necessary.
Step 1) is dealing with preparation activities during which I try to understand motivations behind the project, familiarize myself with the client's industry/sector, and gather together all main stakeholders to get their visions and expectations of the project.
Step 2) heavily depends on different research and analysis frameworks. In regard to this I use Porter's Five forces, SWOT, PEST(LE), Business model Canvas and other tools that help me to collect and evaluate data about internal and external business environments. This activity will result with a 'big picture assessment' and identification of five biggest issues related to the business of the client.
Step 3) is following a design approach at which I focus on possible options for addressing the identified issues with the aim to re-design business model and develop action plan for its implementation.
Step 4) covers the implementation of the strategic options defined under step 3).
Step 5) carefully tracks implementation activities and monitors relevant feedback/indicators from client's business. During this activity I offer industry analysis and research services (step 2) in order to continuously assess market dynamics, monitor the impact and opportunities presented by business and technology changes, and to adjust direction to ensure constant movement toward defined goal. In this way I try to maintain an agile approach within the overall strategy formulation process.
For this project main deliverable would be the SWOT dashboard, which will be developed through steps 1-3.
