My sister has been diagnosed with a fatal blood cancer. She is undergoing chemo and radiation treatments to give her a few more years. She is a firm believer is visualization, and now that the doctors have found a cancer cocktail that she can tolerate, this is her description -

"Currently, I spend Monday mornings and part of Thursday receiving various assortments of IV liquids. Sitting in the hospital oncology department in the IV chair for hours can make one’s imagination bloom. So here’s my defense against terror, sadness and depression. Remember He-Man, She-Ra, and Masters of the Universe? Well, there’s a new super hero in town. Because the first four letters of this new drug are Dara, I call her, Dara, the screaming jungle princess. I picture Dara racing through my bloodstream on a crazy, wild, search-and-attach mission. She implants flashing beacons on the myeloma cells, which guide all-powerful destroyers to their target. She is insane and unstoppable. I love her."

I would like a comic book to show Dara saving my sister's life to help her visualize Dara's success.

I have added a picture of my sister and her husband. She still looks the same, although she has shrunk about 6 -8 inches in height. The meyoloma grows in the marrow of her bones and eventually shatters the bone. Several of her vertebrae shattered, so she is shorter now, and that is how the cancer was discovered. It is very painful when your bones break from the inside! She also contracted a bad infection from her initial hospital visit, and since the meoloma and cancer treatment both compromise her immune system, the infection has not gone away. She underwent 100s of hours in a hyperbaric chamber, but that only stopped the infection. Her wounds are still not healed.

    I have been amazed at the quality of entries in this contest, and the outpouring of positive comments for my sister! I picked the top four artists that best match my sister's vision and provided them with detailed comments. I have extended the contest three days to allow time for revisions and or additions.     I was just browsing and then suddenly noticed your post.Probably i will not participate cause im not good at sketching. . Its really feel very bad when i heard someone has cancer but theres no way of cure,i feel very helpless that time and think about the technologies which can do impossible works but they cant cure the cancer.....I will pray for your sister and also for all the cancer patients. And you are a great bother, who cares so much about his sister.

    Hi, your sister sounds graceful under pressure and TOUGH! I love old school comic books and there is an example of my work on my profile's portfolio. It's titled "Lord Of The Strings"; it's a single-page comic designed to look like it's printed on comic book paper from 70's- early 90's ink & color style. I love the idea of Dara.     Darra should be more like She-Ra and He-Man - https://www.pinterest.com/pin/97812623141703185. My sister is 68, so she is thinking of comics from her youth. Also, her chemotherapy does not involve hair loss for the patient. My sister underwent chemo and radiation in the 70s for cancer (which is causing her cancer today), and she lost her hair then, but not now. So it is important for her to have hair and not look like a cancer patient from the movies.
