Hello all, this is a contest for design ideas/ details or the EXTERIOR Entry Porch of a House. We are looking for some improvement and development of the basic design that was done. So it refers to entrance door design, lighting, roof wooden structure, materials, decor etc ... You can change the Porch roof structure /design but not the location of the columns and the floor level. I am posting the sketchup file we are having at the moment for you to work from. The house should look contemporary with a hint of heritage and should not look like a cottage but a luxurious upscale elegant house. Please post a proper proposal, posting your portfolio will not make you eligible. Please read properly this is the exterior entrance porch not the indoor hall. Check the 3D sketchp file.

For everyone I need to add that it has been decided that the roof color will be charcoal/ dark grey and the general tone of the facade very likely a lighter shade than what we have on or rough rendering.

  I added a picture of a rough rendering of the house. The porch is what we see on the left side of the picture and that allow a car to drop off people. We need to improve this and have it more appealing.

  Need to add that you don't need to keep the facade material as it is on the model view i posted. You can suggest something different. Same for the wooden structure of the porch. Yo can suggest another design (but the porch should not be smaller).

I rather wold not change the shape of the porch roof but you can work on the wall design (facade entrance/ Front door design ... ) materials, and the underface of the porch (volume or structure) as well as lighting.
