Hi

Thomas Tivoli is a Norwegian travelling amusement park.
We are looking for a designer that we can cooperate with over time.
After this project it will continuously be small and big jobs for the correct person/company.

To start, we want you to make a mural design/mockup for the side and top facade`s on our new funhouse.
At this stage, most important for us is to get mockup for us to see your style, how you work, your idea(s) and accurateness.
When the new design is decided and made, we want you to design also the rest of the house, both inside and outside, using the same theme, story and elements.
We will use printed wrapping vinyl of good quality to cover the areas with the new design.

Today it is a 2 floor ghost house that we are refurbishing and changing to a Funhouse
Our Funhouse will be a walkthrough with a lot of funny, amazing, strange corridors, stairs moving floors and other tricks inside.

We want a totally new design and expression.
Our thoughts is to use Alice in wonderland theme, without using branded figures, our brand shall also be included, but not dominant.
Keywords for the whole project is: 2D/3D, anthropormhism (animals, flowers, trees, vehicles etc.), whimsy, whimsical, Thomas Tivoli, funny, light, colorful, happy, timeless, cool, fantasy land, fantasy world, dream world, wonderland, wonderworld, fairy, "small in a big world", key, top hat, quirky, magic, stairways, upside down world.
We want people visiting the funhouse to come inside a dream world, to give them a break from the real world.
The walls and roof inside the house will be covered with the same design, and it shall look realistic, if for example the element is a door or skies, it should look like a real door or skies.
I am not sure about the correct terms but we want to use photos, pictures, images, examples about what I think about, you can see in the links below, but the images shall of course be related to the above keywords :

Main customers and target group is girls and boys,4-24 years old and families.

We want you to make the first mockup for the facades that are circled in green (picture Thriller1).

We will carefully look through and evaluate all mockup, suggestions and the artists previous works and folders.
When we agree with one designer about the design and job, we will continue with the rest of the house. Total square meter that shall be covered is approx. 200 m2.
It will be more pictures and drawings as soon as we are getting forward with building the funhouse.
Finished product shall be delivered directly to the printing company in ready to print files with the correct measures.

I am pretty new at this, only had one contest like this before, but this is much bigger and kind of more important for me to be the best ever!

  When a contest is open - we can all see what's been submitted. For you that means you have dozens of eyes keen to spot anyone trying to palm you off with something from the net. Which happens. Rather often. If people want to make a sealed entry - they can make it themselves - cost them no more than 50p to do it. For YOU to seal the contest - that costs you an extra 30 bucks. You will invariably get some one trying to tell you how "serious designers" only enter sealed contests. It's total BS. Like I say - if someone wants their entry sealed - they can do it themselves. Just like I did... Hope that helps. S : )

  That's a good plan, areyesrueda. The only possible downside is that - for the successful bidder - on a job this size - that's a sizable chunk straight out of their account in arrangement fee - and the contest holder can still walk off at any point leaving the winning bidder high and dry. Plus - The Contest Holder still has no real idea that what he's going to get in terms of quality and level of skill on the part of the award winner with regard to this specific job. It's relatively unique. A contest really is the best way forward for all parties - the contest holder see's what he's going to get up front or - at least - has some assurance of the entrants design capabilities and expertise up front. But, it means committing. Basically - if the contest holder can't - or WON'T - commit to an open contest - why would they in practice be any different when it comes to a project...?
