Hello there, everyone.

I need another really fun and creative background for our kids/family band promo picture. I had a blast doing some of these on Freelancer a few years back, and can't wait to see what amazing things you all come up with this time!

Please see the three before/after pictures for examples of what has been done here in past contests. (NOTE: THESE ARE NOT THE PICTURES TO USE FOR THIS CONTEST!! THE ONES TO USE ARE CUTOUTS1.PNG AND/OR CUTOUTS2.PNG) Though I'm looking for the same level of creativity and quality as in those before/after examples, I'm not looking for something exactly like any of those pictures. So please just consider them as broad examples of the kind of thing I'm asking you to do here. I would much rather you use your inspiration and talent and creativity and come up with something cool and fun and unique and new.

UPDATE:
After seeing some early entries, I want to emphasize the above paragraph... If you enter something that is essentially the same general idea as what was in the before/after examples, or like other entries in this contest, like the wall with writing/images on it thing, or space-themed thing, then it better be something super amazingly awesome. Because I'm going to automatically compare it to those other examples. And sure, something that I like or that worked before could work again, and your version might be wonderful. But I think you'll have a better chance of standing out and getting my attention... and not drawing a comparison to other examples... by going for something different and original. That said, you should do what you feel inspired to do. :)

THE PICTURES TO USE ARE THESE: cutouts1.png and/or cutouts2.png

Either of those is fine to use, or you could do something for both, or that could work for both (we are in roughly the same positions for both pictures). If you do something for cutouts2, one note is to please see about editing the frames in the round glasses so they look better... more blue to match the suit, less reflection from the photo.

I also included the original photo versions with the backgrounds. If you want to do your own cutouts, then you will have the originals to work with. Note that I did slightly change the sizes of the three of us for the cutouts1 version. Also, if your idea involves moving us around a little from where I have us in the cutouts images, I am open to that. Whatever works!

We are Eric Herman and the Puppy Dogs, a music act that performs in the U.S. for an audience of kids and their families. When I say "kids," though, keep in mind that the background should be fun and imaginative and work for kids' sensibilities and interests, but we DO NOT want things that would be meant for very small kids or toddlers. Nothing baby-ish or too "cutesy." We are pretty irreverent, with a lot of comedy, and play music that is often upbeat and more in the realm of rock music/alternative. The before/after pics show some really creative examples.

Please do lighting/tone adjustments, especially to match whatever background thing you do. Should be vibrant and well-balanced. Again, see the before/after pics for examples of what I liked as far as that goes. Another important factor for me with something like this is how well the picture connects to the floor/ground and surroundings. All of the before/after pics are great examples of that. In those pictures, though the ground and background was changed or replaced, it's very believable that we are in those environments.

IMPORTANT!!! You cannot use any licensed imagery for this. NO DISNEY, MARVEL, STAR WARS, etc. If you include anything like that, I cannot use it!

I would like the final file(s) to be in 300 dpi resolution, as a PSD file with layers in case there's anything we may want to tweak afterwards.

I will make comments and ratings on all entries, so as we go, I will let you know what I think and try to steer you in a better direction, if needed.
