Create 5 icons for insertion into a TV Screen image, select a candidate screen image from stock photos, and make an Adobe PSD file. It is ok to hand sketch or rough draft candidate images to get feedback.

The screen image (background) should be a stock photo image selected from BigStockPhoto.com (use draft image for contest - we will buy the winning image).

The background TV screen images should be wide screen (1280x720). Choose an image that contains a person (female preferred) with interesting colors and activities. The background image should be interesting to attract attention and interest but should not distract from the icons (not a high action sports scene).

The TV feature graphic icons should stand out and be easy to understand. Icons need to be original – DO NOT COPY OR USE EXISTING ICONs.

The icons need to be editable. They can be created in Adobe Illustrator or compatible graphics editor.

5 Icons:

Internet Streaming – an icon that shows the program is being sent through the Internet
Advanced Advertising – in display ad – possibly an offer for a pizza in the top left of the screen
TV App – an offer to sync or install a mobile app for the TV show
Social TV – a message displayed from a friend with a comment related to the show
tCommerce – an offer to buy an item and add the charge to the TV bill
Example Concept – only a suggestion – it is ok and encouraged to be creative

Winning artist will have their name included on the magazine cover and authorization to use the magazine cover for artist portfolio promotion.
