Brand Name: Tapping Carpentry
About the brand and product: The brand is as much about Andy (Tapping) as it is his carpentry. He makes bespoke furniture such as dining tables, coffee tables, outdoor storage, doors, interior woodwork (e.g. currently providing woodwork for a crossfit gym aswell as homes and businesses) etc but people seem to want to pay more to have Andy as well as pay for his work. Andy likes to use reclaimed wood/materials and produces rustic woodwork. Other carpentry brands lack personality and you never know the carpenter – because Andy is focusing on bespoke pieces he will get to know his customer and they will get to know him, so its much more personal.

Eventually Andy will start up a YouTube channel to talk about his work. There are a lot of other carpenters on YouTube but their videos are pretty boring. Andy’s will be more dynamic and fun both in content and production so having a brand that reflects that would be ace. He’ll probably feature his other hobbies such as snowboarding, breakdancing, crossfit, skateboarding etc. He wears snapbacks and has a beard so could be a branding idea, not sure.

Vector beard idea – maybe just the silhouette of a beard and add a snapback? Can imagine that looking good on a Tshirt, his van, YouTube/social media profiles.
