ORIGINAL ARTWORK OR PHOTOGRAPHY

I am looking for a book cover design for my young adult book for the formats of paperback (both sides), Epub and an A4 print (to be framed). The job will be granted to the person who supplies me with the best draft concept. This will require original artwork (preference) or use of your own photograph.

The specifications of the paperback and Epub formats are below, aswell as necessary details to complete the project. The design should be a combination of a kowhai tree, a tui bird(s) and encroaching flames. These are central concepts to the book's theme as the main character's mother (Tui) was killed in a fire started by his father. Everyday after school he lies under a kowhai tree and watches Tui birds fly about. At night he is haunted of images of the kowhai tree burning down and the flames threatening to consume the birds.

I will attach some pictures of kowhai trees and Tui's to give you an idea as well as a piece of art I have found incorporating both of these that I like. These images are not to be used in the design as I do not own the rights to them. I will also attach some book covers I like in this genre for reference.

DescriptionKōwhai are small woody legume trees within the genus Sophora in the family Fabaceae that are native to New Zealand. There are eight species, with Sophora microphylla and S. tetraptera being the most recognised as large trees. SOURCE Wikipedia AND "The tui is a boisterous medium-sized bird native to New Zealand.
